How it began

Tabor Dance was started out of necessity during the pandemic...

In spring, 2020, during the COVID pandemic, a group of friends met on Mt. Tabor at sunset to dance. They brought a speaker and drew chalk circles so they could stay safely apart but still be together. Every Wednesday at sunset they gathered on the mountain to dance together. Soon people joined them. And then more people...

How it's going

...and it's grown to be a community staple.

A small group of volunteers stepped up to lead the group. What started as a group of friends and an idea became an entire community. Now, thousands of people every year count on the dance for their weekly social time, movement, and creative outlets.
